I have been digging through the TT websites and have noticed that their grass-fed beef prices, especially for ground beef, is amazingly affordable! Has anyone else noticed this? Some places online that sell specialty meats like this are pretty outrageous, but this is very fair pricing. For example: 3 grass-fed sirloin tip roasts, 11.5 lbs is $102. That’s $8.86/lb. Not too bad! OR even better, ground grass-fed beef is $45 for 6 lbs. That’s $7.50/lb! AND the ground beef isn’t full of fat…it is 91% lean! I’m quite shocked. This really is a no brainer for me. I pay $7.99-$9.99 at the market I go to for grass-fed beef and its not local. It comes from 1 or 2 states away (depending on the season).
If you have never tried grass-fed beef and are afraid of these prices or if its not going to be good, take the plunge, and try it. The taste is much more flavorful, the fat is more healthy, and the risk of e. coli and other bacterias are lower because those pathogens live off of grains. A quick look online and you will know plenty about grass-fed beef. Well worth $7.50/lb.
